Does the College Williams really accept candidates with good statistics if they are involved with athletics more often?
- In varsity soccer team since sophomore year (Give me THIS WILL EDGE?) – GPA 3.8 (unweighted) 4.4 (weighted) – SAT score of 2200 – Volunteer in the hospital, student council member at three clubs (including the future business leaders of America) – ranked 700 in class 20. – Took on all the honors and AP classes, even in first year only took one class honors (honors laboratory bio) – Participated in regularly and offered to my synagogue (Temple Jewish) for 6 years. – Do you have a gold medal in competition speak Russian. (I'm probably missing other things I can put in my application that will help by far!) – I am white with Russian as my second language and a Russian-Jewish backround and upper middle class. Williams College is a college that have a deep desire to attend and hope to have a good opportunity to do so with any extra advantage lol.
I'd say your stats are great, and football is also an advantage. Williams value seems athletic and academic performance. I'm not sure that would give an advantage in revenue, since many student athletes who apply, but not would be more in touch with the coach at some point before or during the application process. Williams, along with most other top schools received A record number of applications this year, so admission is very competitive and no one can predict whether you will or not. Just keep up the good work and apply to Williams and see what happens, but also apply to good safety and college party (or some) that it is easier to achieve. And remember to have fun and enjoy the rest of their time in high school, which no doubt will do well in college, wherever that end. Good luck!
