Oakland to withdraw from # 24 – Henderson is the time right?

This is a great honor, Rickey is eminently worth it, and was going to happen later or later. But is this the right schedule? Henderson was inducted into the Hall on Sunday last weekend, July 26. Is it better a lot of these top honors of the next, or should the A's have waited a year or two, spread it a little?
After seeing your other question about Maddox, I thought, and have concluded that it is not necessary in both cases to expect. Players have to wait for Hall of Fame (5 years), so for tertiary honored as a number of retirees, who have now. If honors are given boom-boom or not, the players (as these two, and others) should have done and can do.
