You are not what you do!
Have you ever experienced the day when a lot of things went very well for you? Have you experienced a day which handles everything that came your way only superbly? Perhaps, before letting go, let me say, "Have you ever had a really good day?"
How do you feel about yourself at the end of that great day? Did you proud of your achievements? Did you feel confident in your abilities? Did you know you value you more than yesterday? Did you feel more dignified?
On the other hand, have you ever had a bad day, which seemed nothing went right for you? Have you had a day that made a series of errors? At the end of that horrific day, how did you feel about yourself? It is likely they felt less safe and less worthy than the previous day.
It is perfectly normal to feel good when we do things well or when things go well, as it is normal to feel a little discouraged when we do things well or when things go wrong. But their self-image and self-esteem ever, ever, based on what we do or what do not.
People often base their self-esteem in things they do or do not do. They say things like: "Gee, why do I have to do?" or "Oh, Why I can not do that? "
Maybe you've heard the statement, "You are what you do." I think that statement is true, but there are countless people who just do not believe. They refer to themselves and others, for what they do. Labeled themselves and other people saying things like "The is an accountant, "or" she is a representative of the advertising. "They say:" I'm a cook "and" He's an athlete. "
All such statements only list occupations. And, if you base your self-esteem as doing, then what happens to your self worth when they do not do more? For example, suppose you were a major league pitcher in baseball. If you base your self in that one, what happens when it's time to retire? So what you think himself? What kind of self-esteem and self-esteem you have, then?
You are not what you do!
Party's services to remind people if you are looking for a long term relationship then you need to see who is the person, not what they do. They tell their customers that what makes people fall in Love is "who" you are, no, "what you do."
But you and I know that for many, many people, their self-esteem and identity is based on their work and revenue. It is good that one of our greatest presidents did not have that kind of attitude.
He came from a family poor, had a hard life and had no success. His business failed twice and went into bankruptcy. During a period of 26 years, was defeated nine times to the legislature, Congress and the United States Senate.
But, he was elected as our 16th president. And, Lincoln once said: "The road was worn and slippery, my foot slipped under his feet, beating the other by the way, but I recovered and said to myself it is a slip and fall. "
I once heard Bible teacher said: "The reason people are so miserable is because they can not stand it." How true that is. I would add that if they knew who were in fact would be a new day for them!
The Scriptures speak of clarity "that" is actually a Christian. It has nothing to do with their actions or work in particular. It has everything to do with what Christ did for you.
If more Christians who accept the Bible says they are, their self worth would skyrocket! The Epistles to note that each born-again Christian, God's eyes is acceptable, holy and without blemish, a son of God and not be separated from His love!
The Bible teaches that Christians have been made righteous. But, unfortunately, so often religion is focused on sin and damnation that makes people feel unworthy. This leaves Christians with low self-esteem and self worth very little.
You are not what you do!
Even when we fall short and sin, we're still just in the eyes of God. What many do not realize is that what we really believe about yourself has a dynamic effect on your success in all areas of his life.
So if you have a good day or bad day, if you're a major league pitcher or just declare bankruptcy, but do God's eyes, you are special, you're, you're her son and He made you justice!
