NFL NEWS
For the first time since 1993 both the number one team in the NFC and the AFC have come to the Super Bowl. The Indianapolis Colts were able to return from a 11-point deficit to win the game 30-17 despite star Reggie Wayne and Dallas Clark being excluded from the game. Los Santos New Orleans were able to take down the Minnesota Vikings with a field goal from 40 yards in overtime to a final score of 38-21. The Vikings had their chances to win, but many turnovers cost them the game. This year's Super Bowl XLIV is looking like a powerful event that has two of the best quarterbacks in the NFL today. The game will be held at the stadium in Miami Sun Life 18:25 on February 7th.

There are millions of reasons why you may never see a playoff system for college and they all relate to money. Only Boise State and TCU by a BCS Bowl game all your conference will make a profit. The Mountain West Conference, which belongs to TCU will divide $ 9.8 million, the Western Athletic Conference, belonging to Boise St will share $ 7.8 million. But the real winners are the big major conferences such as the Big Ten and conferences SEC each earning $ 22 million, while the other four Big Twelve, Big East, Pac 10 and ACC each earning $ 17.7 million. While a playoff system is what Many fans want to see, the bowl games bring a lot of income for all schools, even if you do not qualify for a bowl game.
NBA NEWS
Things do not seem to be best for the New York Knicks who lost yesterday to the Dallas Mavericks 128-78, 50-point loss was the worst defeat in team history. At the beginning of the game the Knicks seemed that they were making a good game of it only being beaten by the Mavericks by two points in the first quarter. But after the game quickly turned into a blowout, and the Knicks beat has at least nine points in the remaining three quarters.
In other news NBA Los Angeles Lakers had the opportunity to meet with President Barack Obama today. The Lakers were invited to the White House in honor of his fifteenth win the NBA title the previous years the NBA championship.

The former Olympian Nancy Kerrigan father passed away this weekend at his home in Stoneham MA. Kerrigan's mother initially told authorities she died of a heart attack, but police arrested Kerrigan still his brother Daniel for assault on a person over 60 years of age.
World Cup Soccer News
Paraguay World Cup stars football and lead striker Salvador Cabanas was shot in the head and is in critical condition after being in a bar in Mexico with his wife. Until far two suspects have been detained but no formal arrest has been made. Cabana is played for the Mexican team Club America where it has become one of the best strikers in the Mexican league.
