legacy of the Olympic Games in London?

I understand some Olympic venues, including the athletics stadium, declined after 2012. Why Why do this? This will be the third Olympics in London, and 3rd place. White City Stadium in 1908 has long gone. The original Wembley stadium finally was demolished in 1999 and the replacement is not suitable for athletics, recently opened. What is the point in building a new home for down? No doubt the stadium can stand for 50 or 60 years and be used for a fourth Olympics in London some years in the future, and without the cost of construction? The LA Coliseum has been used for the Games of 1932 and 1984. Does not it make sense to eliminate some of the billions of pounds in building costs if we are ever to the Games again? (And by then already in place billions of billions) LA also hopes to host the 2016 Games, and the use of the Coliseum for the 3rd time. This is the way to get a profit – do not waste money, use what you have.

LA is not the hope of hosting the games, it's Chicago. And I think the stadium design is disappointing. I like this stage the better. http://www.lda.gov.uk/upload/img/olympic_park.jpg http://www.lda.gov.uk/upload/img/facilities.jpg This is Chicago http://onewaystreet Proposed Stadium. typepad.com/one_way_street/images/olympic_stadium_2.jpg http://www.chicago2016.org/SiteCollectionImages/ProposedVenues/olympic-stadiumSV.jpg EDIT: To the person below me, Yankee Stadium is now a museum, is not being torn below.
