How should a Christian view sports / athletics?
I know I'm doing a lot of questions here … Just wanted to see some different reflections on these issues different! =] =] This is what I found for sure: Many professional sports heroes of today are far from positive role models. Steroids, illegal drugs and alcohol seem to be the norm. It is common to hear players of raping the woman, cheating or even beat their wives, attacking fans, and even attack people. However, still playing and receiving millions of dollars annually. Apparently, a Christian sports truly stand out from the crowd.
as a true Christian … you'll like the sport, but not a fan of it .. The Bible warns us to "flee of idolatry "…. in other words … should be seen as first century Christians did … .. Eclessiastes activities simply says … that is a time for everything … but we can like sports, but … Idolatry is wrong in God's view of what the Bible says .. You can be an athlete, but remember this is … The world Satan … so you want something from us … rather we will put in priority the kingdom of God and other things will be given to us (Matthew 6:33) I like to play professional football … and provide proof of fitness, but .. as a Christian … i would be in all these circumstances you mentioned … and apart from God, so I prefer to do the will of God (28:19-20 mat) I hope i answered your question, in part, at least …
