Athletics is on the way out?
I am a thrower and the number 10 in the UK. I'm only 13 right. i dont realli get a great deal of recognition for my accomplishments. Without saying a have a. It seems that people see only as athletic running and jumping, and this bothers me. Like I'll say won a contest today. And people say 'What were they doing u running? "Only now a 14yr old rider (girl), which is number one in the UK. Run an amazing 11.8 seconds! The girl is 14 and is running in a second world record. Just now I had to beg for money peaks and equipment.Why to buy? Because she is too young for the National Lottery for funding. This is a bunch of crap. Look what Britain has talent, and she have to beg on national television for money? What do you think? Athletics is on the way out? I'm number one in Surrey.
Drugs in sports all that has beaten very hard over the years in athletics as it is looking into other sports. Major events like the Olympics and Championships World is likely to remain popular for the foreseeable future, but anything below that level is pretty niche today. Personally, I do not even disturb the following events, as it is difficult to imagine – rightly or wrongly – that someone is competing at the top level without using more performance enhancing drugs. To me, that's not a sport but it is a very real question of credibility has not been effectively addressed by the sports governing bodies. While you enjoy what we are doing, I say go for it. But I do not think that athletics will be holding too many below the upper level.
