Toyota Official Sponsor of the 2007 Osaka

Toyota Motor Corporation recently announced that it would be providing a total of 220 vehicles which include 134 Prius Hybrid passenger vehicles. These Toyota vehicles are to be used as official cars for the 11th International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) World Championships in Athletics Osaka 2007 (Osaka 2007) which will run from August 25 to September 2, 2007 in Osaka, Japan.

Toyota and producer high quality and durability of Toyota car cover is the official automotive partner for 2007, Osaka. Toyota has also become official partners in advance for the Championship of 2003 in Paris and the 2005 Championships in Helsinki. On the Osaka Championships this year, Toyota will be helping to promote environmental IAAF Green Project considered by way of providing the vehicles with a less harmful impact on the environment.

Besides the Prius, other vehicles such as the FCHV-BUS (a fuel cell hybrid vehicle bus), the Alphard Hybrid minivan, and the service light hybrid Dyna truck will be provided by Toyota. Apart from the 2007 Osaka Cup, Toyota is also scheduled for the supply of vehicles, as vehicles Welcab (Specially equipped vehicles) for use by competitors in wheelchairs. These vehicles are to be used for a variety of uses, for example, acts as the first vehicle or vehicle media for men and women more marathons transport athletes and officials.

For Championships This year, as a way to show support for the children who will assume the responsibilities of the next generation, Toyota will provide 900 people with free tickets to come to witness the performances of some of the best athletes in the world. For those interested applications for tickets will be accepted from July 20 to August 6, 2007.

Applications may be submitted either online or by postcard, if the number of applicants exceeds the number of entries, a draw will be held for select the recipients of tickets.

The Green Project was launched by the IAAF as of 11 World Championships in Athletics IAAF with the aim of contributing to environmental conservation. Project objectives include measures that would help reduce the environmental impact and at the same time, collect donations that will be used for afforestation initiatives. The IAAF also plans to announce more details of this project shortly.
